Zabljak
Perched at the foot of Mount Durmitor, the village of Zabljak is an excellent base for exloring Durmitor and adjacent Tara Canyon, the park’s most convenient entry point. After a previous lack of suitable hotel development, these are now a cluster of modern, reasonably priced hotels on offer here aimed at promoting year-round tourism to the area. The main calling card remains outdoor sports such as hiking, mountain biking and, in winter, skiing – although Zabljak is an undeniably smaller and less modern ski resort compared to its neighbour Kolasin.
