The Bianca brings a welcome dose of sophistication to the up-and-coming mountain town of Kolasin. Whilst the nearby Hotel Lipka remains closed, Bianca has the market all to herself which means booking is essential in high-season. Many devotees go for the indoor pool, spa facilities and fitness centre alone, but the wooden-clad interiors are more than worthy of mention too. A half-board option including breakfast and dinner is great value for money, especially as the spa centre charges 55 € for outside guests for a day pass. A spacious parking area and town centre location make this the most popular hotel in town.
What was once the Hotel Lipka in Kolasin is now the four-star Four Points by Sheraton Hotel consisting of 72 rooms and suites, a meeting room and spa centre. This combination of good bone structure and a recent facelift are important, for while Sheraton has never been a brand to stick its neck out in design terms, the Four Points has a winning formula based on reasonable prices and the relative lack of competition meaning it has gone straight to the top. Now all eyes are on the nearby Bianca Resort to see if it will up its game too in response
